It is with great sadness that the club reports the loss of a great clubman in Trev Walters, who sadly died in his sleep on Saturday evening.
Trev was instrumental in the club being able to re-launch the Reserve Team in the 2005-2006 season and then the initiation of the Third Team in 2007-2008 – neither of those would have been possible without Trev’s commitment to refereeing their home fixtures over the years.
Before that Trev gave regular support to the first team by running the line in all winds and weathers and was deservedly awarded our Clubman of the Year award in 2006.
For those wishing to attend, Trev’s funeral is being held at Fretherne Church on Wed Sept 8th at 3.30pm, all club members are requested to wear their burgundy/claret polo shirt as a show of appreciation for the service Trev gave the club.
